It's the TV show which has had viewers - and participants - glued to their screens since it first aired on Channel 4, but now its fans have been left "heartbroken" with the latest announcement by Gogglebox.
Its team took to its Twitter account to clarify how their recruitment process works, and it is bad news for viewers.
Last week, fans were going wild after rumours circulated that applications for the Channel 4 show were open to the public.

Loads of people were hoping they would find instant fame and become the next Scarlett Moffatt by letting the cameras into their home.
However, Gogglebox has now post a statement on its Twitter feed which said: "We have never carried out an application process for the show and have predominantly only ever street cast. We hugely apologise for any inconvenience"
As expected, fans were quick to react to the news with one even claiming "heartbroken".

Another user @br00kemurphy said: "Fuming thought I was about to get my big break."

Others tried a different tactic and begged pridycers to come find them instead, @LowkeyRhys said: "Come find me then!! I wanna be on gogglebox."

Gogglebox has always insisted that they never advertise for applicants to appear on the show.
Back in 2015, the show's creator Stephen Lambert: "Everybody on Gogglebox has been found and persuaded to be on the show and I think that's the key to why they are likeable and why the show works, because we get to know these people
"We've never advertised for people on Gogglebox."
Gogglebox has been a platform for huge success for some of its stars.
