Gogglebox viewers were left in disbelief on Friday night over duo Paige and Sally on the show, as they made a hilarious mistake.
The pair were watching This Morning on the show amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
With cases increasing daily across the UK and the world, the public have been told to stay at home and avoid any travel if possible.
This episode would have been filmed in installments across the past week, when different restrictions were being introduced.
The episode of This Morning they were covering, hosted by Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, aired last Friday, March 20.
During the episode, the team wished Ruth a happy belated birthday before Eamonn dropped some unfortunate news.
He was planning on whisking his wife off to Italy for some time away as a birthday treat.
With Italy being one of the worst affected places during the pandemic, travel to the country has been stopped - while all countries now have their own flight restrictions.
Eamonn went on to confess that his other plan for her celebrations was a huge party, but again because of the new restrictions and social distancing this could not go ahead.
As the mother and daughter pairing watched the episode, Sally questioned whether Eamonn had been planning to take his wife to the romantic city of Rome.
Paige was quick to remind her mother that there were plenty of other places to go in Italy, before they both suggested Nice.
Viewers were quickly left baffled by the blunder given that Nice is in France, and not Italy.
Taking to Twitter, viewers couldn't hold back their reactions as many were left in hysterics.
One fan said: "There’s loads of places in Italy to go... there’s Nice... that’s right that French city in Italy."
Another tweeted: "Nice in Italy? Bunked off Geography then."
A third added: "There sure are nice places in Italy, Nice itself not being one."
Meanwhile a fourth commented: "Do they realise Nice is actually in France?"
Gogglebox airs Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.
