Gogglebox fans 'feel huge loss' as Channel 4 show returns for new series

Gogglebox returned for a brand new series tonight but fans "felt a huge loss" just minutes in.

The Channel 4 show welcomed back fan favourites such as the Malones, Mary and Giles and the Warner sisters. But notably, one family were missing.

Much-loved couple Mica Ven and Marcus Luther decided to quit the show after the last series. They were part of the couch critic crew for the past five years before calling it a day.

At the time, they released a joint statement on Instagram which said: "We've had so much fun with you all tuning in at home and the hardworking Gogglebox crews, but it's time to put down the remote and see what else God has in store for us." They added: "To everyone that has tuned in & sent us messages of love and encouragement over the years, we appreciate every last one of you. Thank you so much."
