Gogglebox fans divided on new arrivals to show

Gogglebox fans love or loathe new faces on the programme where the couch commentators entertain the audience with their reaction to programmes they are watching.

A new couple appeared on the latest show which aired last night (November 19) and their arrival has left viewers divided.

The hit Channel 4 show which airs every Friday at 9pm introduced Annie and her husband Ronnie to the show.

We do not know much about the couple but there are a few things in the show which are telling of the two.

They appear to live in a flat above a shop in South East London.

And they are clearly animal lovers with a rabbit ornament on display in pride of place behind their armchairs.

In their first scenes Ronnie was seen swigging a glass of white wine while Annie tried to get him to eat some 'healthy' crisps.

We also found out later in the show that Ronnie makes a great cup of tea, according to his wife, so they like their food and drink.

Viewers have been divided by their appearance.

Sara said: "I don’t like new people. They always try too hard #gogglebox"

Mags W agreed: "#Gogglebox. Think we can do without this new couple."

But Andrew Hadz was ready to give them a chance, saying: "I love the new couple already #gogglebox."

Elliot Gonzalez agreed: "OK. Already a fan of Annie and Ronnie. #Gogglebox"

And Mitchell added: "A new couple and what great fun they seam I love em al ready!! #Gogglebox"

The show recently added another new couple to the show - Simon and his sister Jane - after losing several names.

Pete McGarry died aged 71 in June after a short illness. Andrew Michael died aged 61 in August after also being unwell, and Mary Cook died in August aged 92.
