Gogglebox fans distracted by 'filthy' detail in Mary and Giles' home

Gogglebox fans were distracted last night as they saw a "filthy" item in Mary and Giles' home.

The couple appeared on the hit Channel 4 show on Friday to give their take on the latest TV.

But viewers were left concerned at the start of the show when Giles was missing, while Mary sat in her usual spot.

Giles was playing the piano just out of shot and Mary was quick to praise her husband's musical efforts - reports the Manchester Evening News.

But what concerned viewers was the state of Giles' blue chair, which he usually sits on throughout the show.

And many of them took to social media to point out the wear and tear on the armchair.

One said: "Genuinely concerned that the next global pandemic might be started by Giles' armchair."

Another said: "You need to plunge your chair into soapy water Giles #gogglebox."

A third said: "OMG Giles' chair is filthy."

And a fourth said: "Giles’ armchair should be condemned to the flames. #Gogglebox."

Mary and Giles joined Gogglebox back in 2015 after being approached to take part and have been a hit amongst fans ever since.
