Gogglebox fans 'crying' after scary scene from Netflix's The Haunting of Bly Manor shown

Gogglebox fans were left "crying" after the families were shown scary scenes from Netflix's new horror The Haunting of Bly Manor.

This is the second in the series, following the success of last year's The Haunting of Hill House.

The Channel 4 stars follow the story of a young American governess who was hired by a man called Henry Wingrave to look after his niece and nephew at the family country house after they fall into his care, and the apparitions that haunt the premises, reports Daily Star.

And it's fair to say they were frightened as Giles and Mary were seen ducking behind their hands.

Viewers weren't enjoying watching the spooky scenes too much either as they rushed to Twitter to complain.

One wrote: "Got scared watching The Haunting of Bly Manor through Gogglebox. May have to watch it in the day time."

A second said: "Been asking Adam to watch Haunting of Bly Manor with me but we’ve just seen a clip on Gogglebox and I’m crying because I’m so scared."

"I need to go bed but I’m f*****g scared now #Gogglebox," tweeted another.

"Was considering a #BlyManor rewatch until I just saw the #Gogglebox reactions & I’m way too scared," said a fourth.

The first instalment of The Haunting of Hill House focused on what the Crain family endured while growing up in the haunted manor.

The plot saw the family and their five children forced out of their house by paranormal activity, only for the grown-up children to return 26 years later to face their demons.
