Pete Sandiford has confirmed that he is engaged to his girlfriend Paige Yeomans after dropping the news on Gogglebox tonight.
The 25-year-old revealed that he would soon be a husband while chatting to little sister Sophie during the first episode of the new series.
Sophie had asked her brother: "Do you feel any different now that you've got engaged?"
"Yeah, I think," he replied. "I feel like an even bigger responsibility. I don't know why. I'm going to have a wife."
"Yes, you're going to have a wife," Sophie pointed out.
And fans took immediately to Twitter to congratulate him on the news.
One tweeted: "PETE GOT ENGAGED! Amazing #Gogglebox."
While another commented: "NO WAY PETE IS ENGAGED."
A third wrote: "PETE'S ENGAGED?!!! OMG!! #Gogglebox."
Sophie went onto ask who would be his best man.
"Well it's going to be my best wo-man, isn't it?" Pete responded. "It will be you."
"Correct," Sophie teased with a smile. "Course it will! I'll not be wearing a tux, I'll be wearing my own dress."
Pete exclaimed: "Woah! You're going to have to wear a suit."
"I'm not going to be wearing a friggin' suit," she replied.
