It is said they are keen to move on and have “no plans” to go back.

An insider told the Daily Star: “The Tapper family was part of Gogglebox for five years and they loved it. But they don’t have any plans to return. They have moved on.

“They have some exciting things in the pipeline that they want to focus on. They have a lot coming up this year.”

Daughter Amy has already been carving out a career in reality TV, with a stint on Celebs Go Dating.

And she has admitted she would like to continue pursuing new projects instead of returning to the Channel 4 telly-watching show.

Amy has also been announced as one of the stars who has signed up for new show Celebs Go Skating.

She said: “I loved being part of Gogglebox because it meant we spent quality time together as a family. I do miss that.

“But we are a close-knit family anyway. And with any job, after a while, you want to move on to the next thing. You use the experience you’ve had to go on and get the next job.”
