Gogglebox has come under fire by disgusted viewers after it aired graphic sex of turkeys having sex.
The popular Channel 4 show left viewers horrified after it aired what has been dubbed as an ‘unnecessary’ scene which showed turkey insemination.
TTV watchdog Ofcom has received 16 complaints after the grim clip, which was originally aired on Autumn At Jimmy’s Farm, showed in graphic scenes exactly how artificial insemination is performed on the birds.
Viewers watched with their hands over their eyes as the farmer held the male turkeys by their legs in a bid to 'milk' them.
The farmer used a mix of natural mating and artificial insemination in a bid to impregnate the female turkeys.
Gogglebox regulars including the Malone family watched in sheer disgust as the helpless turkeys attempted to flap their way free in the hard to watch scenes.
Because male turkeys don’t have a penis, farmer Jimmy explained that he has to use his little finger to stimulate the production of sperm.
This sparked a serious commotion online, with many viewers claiming that the birds were abused in the graphic clips.
“Did that man just pleasure a turkey?” questioned one fan.
“What have I just watched. I feel physically sick to my stomach!” another echoed.
A third spectator tweeted: “Honestly, that was one of the most horrific things I have ever watched. I won’t be eating Turkey this Christmas.”
“Absolutely rotten. That farmer looked like he enjoyed it too,” insisted another.
Meanwhile, another shared: “Leave the turkey’s alone you horrid man!”
“SO, IS THIS WHAT THEY CALL FARMING THESE DAYS?” another questioned.
Following the graphic episode of Gogglebox, the Channel 4 show could face an investigation from Ofcom if the watchdog deems the clip offensive enough to look in to.
It comes after ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent faced over 20,000 complaints following Diversity's BLM dance last month.
The ITV show racked up more complaints than any other show this decade.
