Godwin eyes up 'prominent' Staffs site for new commercial development

Property developer Godwin Developments has secured a prominent new site in a Staffordshire market town – and has plans to transform it into a new commercial development.

The Brookside Road site, in Uttoxeter, is opposite the town's railway station, which is used by over 165,000 people every year, and near to Uttoxeter Racecourse.

The developer says the land – close to the brand new Lidl supermarket which opened on Towns Meadow Way in October – is "very well suited" to a range of coffee, food-to-go and fast food operators.

It is the latest site to be added to Godwin Development's growing national portfolio of commercial, residential and mixed-used property assets.

Nikesh Solanki, development manager at Birmingham-headquartered Godwin Developments, said: "We are thrilled to have secured this prominent site in Uttoxeter and we are looking forward to transforming it into a new commercial development.

"Sitting opposite Uttoxeter railway station and near the A518 – which connects Uttoxeter to Telford, in Shropshire, via Stafford and Newport – the site benefits from a busy and highly visible location, providing the perfect spot for a commercial operator to reach not just local customers but also those from further afield."
