DUMKA: A 35-year-old woman from Pathargama block in Godda district has lodged a complaint with police accusing her husband of uttering triple talaq thrice in the past two years over dowry.
Hameeda Khatun, a mother of two from Ranipura village, claimed that her husband Sarfaraz Ansari also forced her to perform Nikah Halala, an outlawed practice where a married woman needs to live with another man in order to be reunited with her husband again. Pathargama police station in-charge, Balram Rawat, said a formal FIR has been lodged. TNN
