God of War Ragnarok: Cure for the Dead quest guide

Keeping track of every side quest and favor in God of War Ragnarok is no simple thing, so we’ll take you through how to compelte one of the game’s more complex side quests, Cure for the Dead. Completing it will get you a nice Amulet Enchantment, making you more powerful than ever, so it’s worth going out of your way to pick this one up.

How to complete Cure for the Dead - God of War Ragnarok

When you land at Pilgrim’s Landing you’ll be immediately attacked by a hoard of enemies. Dispose of them and you’ll find the ghost nearby who starts the side quest, asking you to track down an item.

Tracking the quest will put three marks on you compass, all of which take you across the bridge to the next island. You’ll to fire a sigil arrow at the nearby torch to clear the vines, then you can break the connection point holding the bridge up and blocking your path.

The first item is just on the other side of the bridge, but picking it up will start a fight. After that go to the small chest on the west side of the island and you’ll find your second item. Finally, you need to go to the north side of the island where there is yet another bridge. You can break the connection point on the left side with your ax.

The connection point on the right is covered in vines though. You’ll see some unlit torches hanging near a tree to the east, break the connection above them so they can hang freely. Next, use your blades to yank it over to the right and it’ll light up the righthand torch. To get the other one, create a sigil in between the two torches, then fire a sigil arrow at it, this will light the lefthand torch.

Next, use your blades to pull the contraption back to the left, which will light up yet another torch, firing one last sigil arrow at this torch will finally burn the vines and let you lower the bridge.

Just on the other side is the item you need as well as the Grip of Fallen Alcemist in a chest. Then all you need to do is take everything back to the ghost to complete the quest.
