Rokid recently hosted a delegation of 15 prominent Japanese media representatives, including correspondents from Asahi TV, Kyodo News, Jiji Press, and Hokkaido Shimbun. The visit, part of the “Japan Media China Tour” co-hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Japan and the China Media Group Asian & African Languages Programming Center, offered the guests an immersive introduction to Rokid’s AR innovations across cultural tourism, enterprise training, and consumer applications.
The delegation’s visit to Rokid’s headquarters in Hangzhou provided a unique window into the company’s rapidly evolving ecosystem. Rokid demonstrated how Augmented Reality is being meaningfully deployed to solve real-world challenges, from AI-powered glasses to its flagship industrial AR training platform, X-Training.
X-Training and Rokid AR Studio: Industrial AR with Real Impact
In a powerful demonstration of technology’s role in education and public safety, the delegation witnessed a live session of X-Training, Rokid’s next-generation AR-based training solution designed for frontline industrial personnel, applied to emergency CPR education.
As seen in recent deployments at schools in Hangzhou, the X-Training system overlays digital visualizations, such as a glowing heartbeat or pressure feedback, onto mannequins. With millimeter-level motion tracking and adaptive instruction, even children have learned to master CPR through this immersive, interactive approach.
Merging AI guidance with real-world environments, X-Training provides hands-on, immersive learning that surpasses traditional classroom methods. Wearing Rokid’s lightweight AR Studio headsets, participants were guided through life-saving techniques. The delegation observed how the system breaks down complex operations into visual, interactive sequences, allowing trainees to receive real-time feedback, guidance from AI tutors, and remote support from experts.
The system has already been deployed in collaboration with China’s State Grid, PetroChina, and global manufacturers such as Midea, underscoring Rokid’s leadership in the adoption of enterprise-grade AR.
The delegation also further explored Rokid AR Studio, a powerful spatial computing kit designed for immersive storytelling. It has become a key enabler for culture and tourism projects across China. From scenic heritage sites to museums, Rokid AR Studio brings history to life with contextual overlays, multi-language narration, and gesture-based interactivity.
Consumer Innovation on Display
Beyond the industrial field, the delegation also experienced Rokid’s flagship consumer products, including its latest lightweight AR Spatial glasses designed for entertainment, multitasking, and on-the-go spatial computing. With features like built-in myopia adjustment, intuitive voice interaction, and virtual multi-screen display, the products reflected Rokid’s user-centered design approach and its ambition to make spatial computing more accessible.
As Japan prepares for Expo 2025 Osaka, Rokid invited visiting journalists to explore its exhibition booth at the upcoming event. The move reflects Rokid’s growing interest in expanding into the Japanese market, both on the enterprise and consumer fronts.
A Call to Spotlight Chinese Innovation
Rokid used this high-level engagement to spotlight the rise of Chinese AR technology on the global stage and encouraged Japanese media outlets to share these advancements with their audiences. By showcasing how Chinese enterprises are transforming training, tourism, and personal computing through AR, the event aimed to reshape perceptions and foster dialogue around innovation and collaboration in East Asia.
The visit also served as a starting point for deeper cooperation. Rokid announced plans to host future brand and product experience events in Japan, aiming to bring AR technology directly to Japanese audiences through live demonstrations and culturally integrated experiences.
As Rokid's international strategy team continues to expand brand awareness and distribution beyond China, the company remains committed to synchronized growth across domestic and global markets.
