A "marauding" goat seen running past shops and hiding in woodland in Swansea was finally stopped in its tracks by police - after a chase.
The diminutive horned farm animal was actually caught on camera pelting out of a side street and holding up traffic in Woodfield Street, Morriston.
At one point, the escapee appears to swerve towards a group of people at a bus stop before resuming its course.
People in Morriston reported seeing the goat running past their work places and one resident asked whether the runaway could be caught and put to work trimming their lawn.
Steven Hayes was driving in Woodfield Street on Saturday with his daughters Millie and Lottie in the car. He spotted what he thought was a dog coming out of a side street.
In the video Steven can be heard asking "has anybody lost a goat?"
He said: "He came running out of the church on Woodfield street in Morriston, straight in front of us.
"My first thought was that it was a dog, then we saw his horns.
"The girls starting laughing, saying 'this is how Santa must feel being pulled by reindeer'. He just kept hopping about in front of us."
As the illusive goat's rampage around Morriston continued it was later seen hiding in woodland near the River Tawe.

The fugitive was only brought under control after a "lengthy foot chase" by South Wales Police who tweeted to reassure the public that the goat had been captured.
Pictured near Venue2 in Neath Road, Morriston, the police said: "After a lengthy foot chase the Goat is now safe and in custody!"
In a nod to the popular 80s Ghostbusters film franchise they added '#WeAintAfraidOfNoGoats'.
The rampaging goat of Morriston has been tamed for now and luckily no humans, or goats, were harmed during its escapade.
