Goalkeeper undergoing Bolton Wanderers trial amid Scottish clubs' January transfer window interest

Drogheda United goalkeeper David Odumosu is going on trial at Bolton Wanderers.

According to the Irish Independent, the 20-year-old will be at Wanderers for the next three days after his contract at the Irish club expired.

Drogheda boss Kevin Doherty said: "David has a couple of options in the UK and he’s tokuk go on trial, but that’s up to David.

"If somebody wants to sign David they know what they have to do to sign him. We have a valuation on him."

The 20-year-old has been Drogheda's first choice goalkeeper for the past two seasons and made 49 appearances for the Irish side.

The player has previously been linked with moves to Scottish duo Aberdeen and Dundee United.

Senior goalkeepers currently on the books at Bolton include Joel Dixon and veteran Matt Gilks, the latter of whom is also the club's goalkeeping coach.

Championship side Bournemouth have also been linked with the stopper, who had a call-up to the Irish under-21s squad for European qualifiers in October.
