PANAJI: Hospitalisations of Covid-19 persons doubled over a period of 24 hours with hospitals reporting 24 fresh admissions on Saturday.
Another 41 persons opted for home isolation as 65 new Covid-19 infections were detected. No Covid-19 deaths were reported.
South Goa’s weekly case positivity rate at 1.9% has surpassed that of South Goa with 1.8%. A total of 5,376 samples were sent for testing. Eight persons were discharged from hospital and 84 recovered over the past 24 hours with a recovery rate of 97.5%.
Active cases have risen in Vasco, Cansaulim, Margao, Panaji, Candolim and Quepem among other health centres. Margao has the highest active cases at 128 followed by Panaji with 72, Porvorim with 60, Candolim with 50, Siolim with 46, Cortalim with 41, Cansaulim with 39, Mapusa with 34, Canacona, Chinchinim and Ponda with 32 each and Aldona with 30.
