PANAJI: Chief minister Pramod Sawant flagged off two buses to transport Haj pilgrims to Mumbai and assured the Muslim community that the state government will provide buses to bring them back.
“The government will provide two buses to the Haj Pilgrims and other amenities to make their return comfortable. Our government believes that all religions are equal and we participate in each others festivals,” said Sawant.
Chairman of Goa State Haj Committee Shaikh Jina was present for the flag-off where Sawant felicitated some of the pilgrims.
He was speaking at the ESG complex from where the two buses were flagged off.
