CANACONA: Canacona municipality on Monday cleared the roadside garbage strewn near the Canacona hospital at Chaudi.
TOI had highlighted the issue in its Monday edition.
The area had turned into an eyesore as dry waste, including plastic bags, were scattered around the place as well as the NH66.
Despite waste bins placed in the area, people resort to dumping garbage as these bins get filled up soon, said a local.
Chairperson of Canacona municipal council Mario Simon Rebello had assured to clear the garbage on priority.
Citizens have appreciated the efforts by the authorities in cleaning the area.
