Goa: Active Covid cases stay under 300-mark

PANAJI: Thirty-one fresh Covid-19 infections were detected over the past 24 hours, with no Covid deaths. Active cases have stayed under the 300-mark for the 13th consecutive day, with 2,050 samples tested.

Three people were hospitalised and 28 opted for home isolation. The weekly positivity rate for the week November 13-19 was 1.05% for South Goa and 0.96% for North Goa.

Margao and Siolim have the highest active cases with 27 and 25 respectively. Porvorim has 15, Mapusa 14, Panaji 13, Cansaulim 12, Dharbandora 11 and Bicohlim and Candolim 10 each. All other health centres have under 10 active cases each.

Marcaim, Betki, Corlim and Cansarvanem have no active Covid-19 infections.

The recovery rate is at 97.9%, with one discharged from hospital and 33 recoveries over the past 24 hours.

A total of 4,760 persons were vaccinated on Saturday, of which 4,050 took their second dose and 710 their first. Goa’s fully vaccinated population is 9,93,437 and partially vaccinated is 2,60,619.
