PANAJI: Goa reported five Covid-19 fatalities on Tuesday, highest since September 5, taking the toll to 3,309. With 90 new cases and 114 recoveries, the active caseload was at 833.
A patient from Sindhudurg, Maharashtra, died within a few hours after he was shifted to GMC, Bambolim. The other four patients, all from North Goa, died at GMC after a few days of treatment.
During the day, 16 patients were admitted to the hospital and five were discharged.
The count of active cases of Margao urban health centre marginally reduced to 129, while that of Ponda health centre increased to 45. The tally of Panaji urban health centre was 53 and Candolim primary health centre had 52 cases. Six health centres had less than 10 cases each on Tuesday.
