Go Pro video shows Canadian bouncer's perspective on New Year's Eve

Peter Williams, 25, usually posts videos of his pet snakes but earlier this week; he released a nine-minute video documenting his shift as a bouncer on New Year’s Eve 2013 in Ontario, Canada.

The footage captured some truly hilarious and cringeworthy interactions (in equal measure) with the public.

From having to diffuse aggressive confrontations to joking with drunken revellers, Mr Williams has been applauded in the comments section of websites for remaining calm.

The video provides an insight into the excuses bouncers must hear on a nightly basis.

After being kicked out of the nightclub, one reveller insists “It’s my brother’s birthday. I need to get in!... I’m not f*****g lying!”

The same individual returns later in the video saying “I’m on a list… look at the list!” to which Mr Williams coolly replies, “It’s a little bit late for lists, man. We’ve already discussed this.”

The footage was recorded at The Gatsby Soundhouse & Bar in London, Ontario.

Mr Williams told Thump that he no longer works there.

“I have since gone to school for veterinary medicine, grown my reptile business and also moved into other work within the security field.”

For Mr Williams, New Year’s Eve is not the worst night to work.

“St. Patrick's Day by far… People like to start drinking at about 8 AM on St. Patrick's Day. So that ends up causing security to be working 12-14 hour shifts with little to no breaks or down time.”
