'Go out on loan' - Nottingham Forest fans' verdict on Joao Carvalho situation

Uncertainty continues to surround Nottingham Forest midfielder Joao Carvalho.

The Portuguese playmaker has been linked with clubs around Europe, including Olympiacos and Trabzonspor.

Sabri Lamouchi has played down talk, saying they are only 'rumours'.

But those rumours continue to surround Carvalho, who returned to the Forest starting lineup for last week's 4-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

With the January transfer window fast approaching, Forest fans have had their say on the situation.

Here's what Reds fans have been saying on the LTLF Forest Forum.

Steve Stone's Mullet - "Would be a massive shame, cos lad has more talent that most of our other players combined. We'd be better finding a couple on his wavelength to add some movement that would see us create more chances."

Timothy Pope - "The best thing for Carvalho is to go out on loan for 6 months to get his fitness and mojo back. If he gets anywhere near his potential then we can either bring him back or sell him. He’s wasted here currently."

Valspoodle - "Bit like McGoldrick, I can see this guy going elsewhere and becoming a cult hero whilst our fans have written him off because he runs funny or he doesn't score enough goals, irrespective of how many minutes he's actually played."

Berkshire Red - "Either way, AK (Aitor Karanka) knew how to get something out of Joao and Joe Lolley. Something that Sabri has struggled to do. Jeez, even MON (Martin O'Neill) managed to get two matchwinning performances out of Joao (the game at QPR being the second where he was central to everything good that we did, albeit not much)."

Yossarian - "Cracking little player but I'm not sure he's that suited to the physical test of the Championship or our weather."

Ashley - "Can't see a move to Olympiacos happening, as it would involve one of either ourselves or Oly taking a massive financial hit."

Harvey - "Carva would be immense in the right team. Unfortunately right now Nottingham Forest is not it."

Stockers - "We could ask the other teams players to not run as much or tackle as hard?"
