Go North East launches Flexi 5 bus tickets which can be used over an entire month

Go North East has launched a range of flexi tickets which cost the same as weekly passes but can be used for any five days in a month.

The bus operator says it has introduced the tickets as it recognises that some work places are still not fully open and many passengers will not need to travel every day in a working week.

Go North East says: "‘Flexi 5’ allows customers to buy a ticket for the usual price of their weekly ticket but split it over any five individual days. Customers have up to a month to use them from the date of purchase."

The tickets are now available on the Go North East app, starting from £20 for over 25s. Tickets for children and under 25s are cheaper.

Martijn Gilbert, managing director at Go North East, said: “We know our customers are working more flexibly at the moment as businesses start to reopen, some workplaces combine home and office working, and social distancing is still in place.

“To help with that, we’ve introduced this new range of tickets, so customers no longer have to worry about getting value out of their normal weekly ticket, they can simply use this new ticket type across any five days in a month.”
