Go inside Rams draft room in new ‘Behind the Grind’ episode

The Los Angeles Rams were their usual selves in the 2019 NFL draft, striking six total trades, including three moves down before making their first pick of the weekend. General manager Les Snead is always willing to swap picks and players, as evidenced by the team’s approach this year.

Fans obviously aren’t allowed in the war room on draft weekend, but the Rams gave them a behind-the-scenes look in the latest episode of “Behind the Grind.” In the video, you can see Snead on the phone talking to teams about trading down, making it clear that moving back was his favorite option.

At one point, Snead is heard talking on the phone to Panthers GM Marty Hurney, telling him that the Rams already agreed to a trade with the Falcons to move out of the No. 31 pick.

“Hey Marty, I had agreed with the Falcons. I didn’t want to go back on my word. Y’all had a little better third-rounder, but that’s life, you know what I mean?” Snead said.

The episode also highlights Marqui Christian’s interest in fashion, Brandin Cooks’ photography passion and Robert Woods’ roots at Junipero Serra High School in California.
