'Go and sit in your mansion and shut up' Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan seething as he 'bans' Meghan and Harry from show

Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan has announced he is 'banning' Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from being talked about on the show 'for the foreseeable future'.

The presenter was outraged after the pair sent letters to four tabloids in the UK, telling them that they would no longer work with them.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex accused the papers of running stories that are ‘distorted, false, or invasive beyond reason’.

The presenter announced that he was 'banning' the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from the show (ITV)

Speaking ahead of reporter Nick Dixon's segment, Piers said: "We would like to take the opportunity to wish her Majesty a very Happy Birthday. Thank you for your continued extraordinary service to our country.

"There was a bit about Meghan and Harry as well but I can't be bothered to read it.

"Nick Dixon's at Windsor Castle, let's not talk about Meghan and Harry, I can't be arsed. Let's just forget about them."

After the reporter said he 'got through it without mentioning her or the other one', Piers added: "Let's just focus on the fact that it's the Queen's birthday, Prince Phillip has come out of retirement.

"Let's just forget about the ones in Hollywood whining about their own miserable, poor lives."

Susanna then chipped in to tell Piers that he was still talking about them, to which he argued that his co-star was 'defending' the pair.

He added: "Imagine starting your own war with the media on the Queen's birthday, in the middle of a coronavirus crisis, it's staggering.

"I just want them to shut up, go away. Seriously, go away Meghan and Harry, go and sit in your mansion and shut up."

Susanna suggested: "So shall we not talk about them for the rest of the week?"

Piers responded: "Great idea, they banned a number of newspapers, today we're banning Meghan and Harry from Good Morning Britain for the foreseeable future.

"You're done. Toast. It's over."

Good Morning Britain continues weekdays on ITV at 6am.
