GMP make four arrests after raids on flats

Officers made four arrests following a drugs bust at a block of flats in Wigan on Wednesday morning (April 5). Three men and a woman are in custody to be questioned in relation to the supply of Class A drugs.

The Scholes Neighbourhood Team, along with the Tactical Aid Unit, executed the warrants at two flats in the Morris House building after they received intelligence relating to the supply of drugs from both properties.

A quantity of drugs were seized along with paraphernalia linked to the supply of drugs as four were arrested at the scene on Butler Street.

A post shared by GMP's Wigan West division read: "This morning, Officers from the Scholes Neighbourhood Team, along with the Tactical Aid Unit executed simultaneous warrants at two properties within Morris House, Scholes.

"The warrants were executed having received a wealth of intelligence relating to the supply of Class A drugs from both properties.

"As a result of this intelligence and information, a quantity of drugs has been recovered, as well as paraphernalia commonly linked to the supply of drugs. At present three males and one female are in police custody and will be questioned in relation to the supply of class A drugs.

"Going forward, we will continue to actively target those who blight our communities and bring misery to those living in the local area."
