GMB viewers stunned as Ben Shephard accidentally swears during live TV interview

Ben Shephard left Good Morning Britain viewers stunned today after he accidentally swore during a live TV interview.

Presenting alongside co-host Charlotte Hawkins, the 45-year-old let slip a rude word in an gaffe that left fans gobsmacked.

Ben and Charlotte were discussing whether or not beaches should be closed following the packed scenes in Dorset, the Mirror Online reports.

Scorching temperatures across Britain saw thousands swarm beaches across the south of England.

As a result, the local authority declared a "major incident" with the mayor of Dorset urging people to stay away because of the overcrowding.

Ben went on to ask A Place In The Sun's Jean Johansson if the government should close beaches.

However, instead of saying beaches he said: "Should we close the b*tches?"

Viewers noticed the blunder straight away, with one tweeting: "Did Ben just say we need to shut the b*tches...?"

Another replied: "That's what I heard".

Another asked: "Did Ben just say Shut the b*tches?"

"Could of sworn Ben said close the B*tches then," pondered a fourth.

A fifth wrote: "Shut the b*tches," alongside laughing face emojis.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV
