GMB viewers scold Richard Madeley for 'disgusting' habit

Richard Madeley left Good Morning Britain viewers unimpressed by his eating habits on the show.

The presenter was back at the helm of the ITV news programme alongside Susanna Reid for a second week.

And just before the show was out, the hosts were delivered a brand new treat.

Susanna and Richard were whizzed over Greggs' latest product - vegan bacon rolls.

However, the crew member had trouble getting hold of them and ended up with vegan sausage rolls - the bread kind - instead.

It came as they were about to speak to Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith ahead of the new series which begins tonight.

The latest run features the first-ever vegan baker so they, therefore, put the new Greggs products to the test.

Richard, 61, quickly took a bite in order to offer his opinion.

"I'm just speaking as I find, its very dry and it doesn't taste very nice," he said.

But viewers blasted him for speaking with his mouth full.

"Richard Madeley going full Partridge again as he interviews Prue Leith through a mouthful of vegan Greggs. #GMB," one tweeted.

Another fumed: "The problem was listening to richard taljk(sic) with mouth full disgusting..be greatful(sic) for food somepeople(sic) dont(sic) gave it richatd!(sic) !#gmb."

"@GMB Bake off is back and RM eating a vegan roll and he calls it dry and tasteless that rings a bell," a third said.
