GMB viewers say their 'hearts are breaking' as surviving Tipton Twin appears on show

Good Morning Britain viewers were left in tears as surviving Tipton Twin, Lil Hobday, appeared on the show after her own coronavirus battle.

Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid emotionally announced last week that Lil's sister Doris had sadly died after they both tested positive for Covid-19 at the age of 96.

Lil is now out of hospital and is recovering at home and was joined on Wednesday's GMB by her grandson, Brayden.

But fans were left completely devastated as the larger than life character looked heartbroken as she discussed losing her sister.

Piers started by telling her: "I was so distraught to hear that Doris had lost her life."

Lil replied: "You've got to make the best of it, there's no bringing her back.

"It's only me now for how many years."

Brayden added: "It's been very hard for us as a family, very emotional," Brayden added before Lil continued: "She was the only one I ever had."

Her appearance left viewers' 'hearts breaking' as they remembered the loveable twins from previous TV appearances.

"My heart is breaking for Lil #GMB," wrote one.

Another said: "So heartbreaking, Lil has lost the light in her life, I hope she knows we all love her #GMB."

"Poor Lil. Do you expect her to still be the ray of sunshine that she was?! She’s recovering from covid herself & lost her sister to it. She’s obviously heartbroken," added a third.

A fourth commented: "Doris & Lil brought me & so many viewers such joy when they were on #GMB last year. Absolutely heartbreaking watching Lil's interview just now-she was just devastated."

"Look at this, just last year Lil was a great double act with Doris on #GMB and now she's broken without her! This should hit everyone hard and make you understand this virus is real. God bless Lil and r.i.p Doris xxx," another said.

Others, however, hit out at the questioning during the interview.

"Bless Lil's heart. But Piers back off with the political questions The woman's grieving her twin #GMB," tweeted a viewer.

Another commented: "I don’t think this interview should be happening. Lil is clearly heartbroken. I feel uncomfortable watching #gmb."

"Poor Lil she looks so heartbroken. Why would #gmb do this? Seriously that poor woman is so lost," added a third.
