GMB viewers 'complain to Ofcom for first time' over Piers Morgan remarks towards Meghan

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey is still the only thing people seem to be talking about.

And the same goes for Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Tuesday's Good Morning Britain.

However, after threatening to 'switch off' yesterday, ITV viewers are now saying they're complaining to Ofcom 'for the first time' over remarks made towards Meghan by Piers Morgan.

The controversial TV host said during Monday's GMB that he didn't believe that she had suicidal thoughts.

The Duchess of Sussex revealed in the explosive interview, which aired on ITV on Monday night, that she considered taking her own life when she was pregnant with her son Archie.

"Who did you go to? What did they say to you? I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word she says, Meghan Markle," Piers said after seeing a clip of the moment Meghan spoke of her mental health struggle.

"I wouldn’t believe it if she read me a weather report.

"The fact that she’s fired up this onslaught against our Royal family I think is contemptible."

Piers is now under fire from a mental health charity and viewers have taken their complaints further than just social media.

Harry and Meghan sat down with Oprah (ITV)

"Filled in my first Ofcom complaint after watching #GMB today. The way Meghan was spoken about, that she was lying about her mental health struggles, racism within the royals etc was just horrible! Disgusting scenes to watch on the TV! #Itv #Ofcom," tweeted one.

Another said: "I made my first Ofcom complaint today.. how about you?. #GMB"

"First time I’ve ever made a complaint but @piersmorgan completely out of control @GMB a disgrace where Megan is concerned #ofcom," a third added.

Piers stormed off the GMB set on Tuesday after his co-star Alex Beresford called his behaviour 'diabolical'.

The ITV host left his presenting spot saying "I can't do this" after co-star Alex Beresford called out the 55-year-old for how he has acted against Meghan Markle.

The Manchester Evening News has contacted ITV for comment.
