GMB viewers 'adore' Bill Turnbull as he reunites with Susanna Reid - and makes a dig at Piers Morgan

Good Morning Britain viewers have been sharing their opinion on the first show of the week as the presenting line-up has a shake-up.

Susanna Reid is back at the helm of the show but is being joined by her former BBC Breakfast co-host Bill Turnbull.

The broadcaster made his last GMB appearance a couple of years ago and after vowing not to do breakfast TV again, he made an exception and took his seat on the ITV show's panel.

Bill has taken the place of Adil Ray from Monday, May 24, and will stay until Wednesday, May 26, in a guest host slot.

Susanna, 50, and Bill, 65, co-presented BBC Breakfast from 2003 up until Susanna left in 2014 before Bill then left the breakfast show in 2016 after fifteen years at the helm.

And the breakfast television veteran made sure he kicked off with a joke - at Piers Morgan's expense.

"I thought I was going to have to storm out of the studio at one stage.... oops, embarrassed silence," as he jokingly argued with Susanna over timings.

But fans are loving the pair hosting together and can't heap enough praise on Bill.

"Adore Bill Turnbull. Professional, measured and incredibly intelligent. @susannareid100 can you please get him to guest host again soon," tweeted one viewer.

Bill previously presented GMB a couple of years ago (ITV)

Another said: "Susanna seems so much more relaxed and happy with Bill Turnbull by her side, great to have him back on tv again, the dream team are reunited!"

"How good is Bill Turnbull though? Kind, professional and respectful. One of a kind #GMB," a third gushed.

A fourth added: "What a wonderful surprise seeing Bill back on the TV. A true professional with more than a touch of excellent humour. Pleased to see him looking so well."
