GMB turns into Love Island as presenters are awkwardly exposed by news headlines

Good Morning Britain turned into Love Island today - and it was the presenters being exposed.

Richard Arnold pitted the GMB hosts against each other during a Love-Island style headlines challenge.

Just like in Monday night's episode of the ITV2 dating show, they presenters had to guess who the newspaper headlines were referring to.

Luckily there was no water being thrown around in the studio, but there was definitely as much awkwardness.

Ben Shephard was left red-faced when Kate Garraway found out he had called her "filth and a disgrace".

The headline read: "Disgusted Ben Shephard brands Kate Garraway blank and a blank in shock outburst."

Ben asked: "Insatiable and a cougar, is that it?"

When Richard revealed the real answer was "filth and a disgrace", Ben replied: "Both are true."

There were some giggles with another headline, which read: "Blank terrifies blank with a snake live on air."

Ben guessed it was wildlife expert Chris Packham scaring viewers, but it was actually the presenter himself terrifying Kate.

The next headline was: "Kate Garraway and Richard Arnold in blank as blank slips over."

They guessed it was "sweaty clinch", but it was actually "hysterics as newsreader slips over".

The final headline was the most disgusting of the lot as it involved Ben's bogies.

It read: "Ben Shephard picks his blank and blanks out Charlotte Hawkins.

The correct answer was Ben "picks" his nose and "freaks out" poor Charlotte.

After being mocked by Kate, Ben said: "They're much coveted my bogies."

*Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2
