GMB's Susanna Reid unveils stunning makeover by Kate Middleton's hairdresser

Susanna Reid made the most of Super Saturday by getting a stunning makeover at the hands of Kate Middleton's hairdresser.

The Good Morning Britain presenter made sure she was given royal treatment when the lockdown eased enough to allow hairdressers to open.

The 49-year-old brunette beauty paid a visit to Richard Ward, the man behind the Duchess of Cambridge's famous tresses.

Richard worked his magic on Susanna's hair to breathe life back into her shoulder-length locks.

In a picture, Susanna snaps a mirror selfie to show off her bouncy and voluminous tresses.

She unveiled her new look on today's GMB, with co-presenter Piers Morgan quickly trying to turn the attention to his own haircut.

Telling Susanna and Dr Hilary about his experience, he said: "The first sight was [a thermometer] and that was a bit dramatic. All of it is an interesting experience, they all had visors on and gloves. I was encouraged to wear a mask and gloves inside."

Piers also chatted about his first trip to a restaurant since lockdown began.

Over the weekend, he gave Cambio de Tercio a plug on Instagram, sharing a snap of himself posing up outside the restaurant with its owners, from a social distance of course.

He wrote: "So nice to be back at London's best restaurant Cambio de Tercio. Still fabulous food, delicious wine & exceptional service. Shame about Kevin but you can't have everything in life. Thanks to Abel & the brilliant staff. Great to be back."

Chatting about it on today's show, he said: "It was interesting watching a restaurant that I know really well trying to adhere to the rules. All tables were, I would say three metres apart, all the staff obviously in masks, very careful about how they did everything.

"It's a brave new world, literally, and actually we have to help the economy get going and we have to do it in the safest possible way, that's the equation we are all living with."
