Susanna Reid has come in for criticism from Good Morning Britain viewers for staying 'silent' as her colleague Adil Ray was embroiled in a heated on-air spat on Wednesday.
For the third day this week, Susanna and Adil were joined by a Government minister, with Gillian Keegan following on from Kwasi Kwarteng and George Eustice, who Adil clashed with in two fraught rows over the Indian variant.
Apprenticeship & Skills Minister Gillian became the third MP in as many days to be on the receiving end of Adil's frustration over the Government's failure to put India on the red list sooner.
He told her: "we have been trying to ask this question to your colleagues all week and we have had a variety of answers.
"Quite simply why, on April 9, when you put Pakistan and Bangladesh on the red list and they had far fewer cases than India - why wasn't India placed on the red list?"
After then accusing the Government of not telling the truth over why they waited so long to out India on the red list, Gillian fired back: "by the way it's very offensive to say there's lies when people are trying their best to manage a very difficult situation."
Talking over the top of her, Adil replied: "It's not offensive," but she continued and pointed her finger as she shouted: "while you can sit there very easily asking questions which are hand picking different bits of fact, that is actually not helpful to your viewers."

While Adil continued to argue, Susanna sat next to him saying nothing and that was an approach that did not go down well with viewers at home.
One tweeted: "why didn't susanna get involved with the interview?" and another reacted: "once Piers Morgan left I thought Susanna Reed would take the opportunity to assert herself. But here I am listening to Adil Ray trying to emulate Piers and she just sits there cleaning her teeth."
A third posted: "Another pathetic performance from Susanna Reid."
And, praising Adil but taking aim at Susanna, another viewer commented: "Think Adil has brought a fresh approach to the mornings, however think susanna’s time is up,she struggled before Piers and things are no better now"
