Susanna Reid responds after Emily Atack's mum complains about her GMB appearance

Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid has responded to Emily Atack's mum's complaints about her appearance.

Kate Robbins, whose daughter is actress Emily, had taken to Twitter with an issue about Susanna, who had been appearing on GMB via video link as she is self-isolating.

Susanna, 49, has been looking as stunning as ever in the video chats with her co host Piers Morgan.

Kate posted a tongue-in-cheek video demanding Susanna look less glamorous as she is only at home.

"I would like to complain actually about Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain.

"She’s been broadcasting from her home every morning this week because she is self-isolating.

“I hope her family are all fine, but I would just like to complain because she’s been wearing little or no make-up at all and still manages to look very attractive.

“So Susanna, can you just stop it, please? Because you are ruining it for all of us who have to trail it on every day.”

She captioned the post: "Piers Morgan, just to cheer you up - my complaint about Susanna Reid."

Piers jokingly called Susanna "irresponsible" (ITV)

Piers replied joking: "I agree - very irresponsible," alongside crying with laughter emojis.

TV presenter Caroline Feraday joined in on the joke replying with her own video to say she was backing the "campaign".

Susanna replied in her usual kind fashion, telling Kate and Caroline: "You both look gorgeous!"

Actress Kate replied: "Tinted polyfilla"[sic].

Susanna recently spoken out to defend the "morons" who flocked to Britain's outdoor beauty spots last weekend amid the coronavirus outbreak.

In her column for the Daily Mail, she explained: "I don’t condemn the crowds enjoying warm weather in parks last weekend, either.

"No, they’re not 'morons', they were trying to follow frankly confusing advice about getting some exercise.

"In a way it’s a relief to have an end to the confusion over how much we are allowed to go out."

She added that she will never take her freedom for granted again, especially since the government strengthen its advice and urged Brits to stay at home unless they need to go out for four key reasons.
