GMB's Susanna Reid plagued by 'terrifying nightmares' about coronavirus

Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid has revealed how she's been plagued by horrific nightmares about coronavirus.

The news anchor has been right at the centre of coverage of the pandemic alongside outspoken colleague Piers Morgan, with the GMB colleagues delivering insight and reaction to devastating news and figures on confirmed cases and deaths at the height of lockdown and also taking Government ministers to task for their handling of the situation.

And now, as Prime Minister Boris Johnson looks set to address the nation again after a surge of infections, Susanna has opened up about the effect the COVID-19 pandemic has had on her personally, with her also being there as her co-star Kate Garraway goes through hell with the aftermath of her husband Derek being struck down by the virus.

Speaking to The Telegraphs’ Stella Magazine, Susanna explained: “It was an anxious time for everybody, but those early days were very frightening.

“I started to have really vivid, terrifying nightmares where I would wake up screaming and crying even though I couldn’t quite remember what the nightmares were.”

Kate has spoken about just what a big support Susanna was for her. Paying tribute to her on GMB, she told her: “You rang me, and you said 'What can I do to help? I've been through this.'

“I remember talking about this when your son went to secondary school and I just said: 'At the moment I am trying to find trousers to fit,' and you did a massive load, didn't you? And sent me loads of appropriate wear."
