Susanna Reid left Good Morning Britain viewers gutted on Tuesday with the news that they wouldn't be seeing her 'for a while' as she takes a break from the ITV show.
Susanna, who has now been a GMB anchor for six years, has stayed a constant presence on screen in the aftermath of former co-presenter Piers Morgan 's dramatic departure earlier this year.
Piers quit the ITV daytime show after walking off set during a heated spat with colleague Alex Beresford over Meghan Markle.

Hours after the row played out live on air, it was confirmed that Piers had left Good Morning Britain for good.
Susanna stayed on the show and, since Piers' headline-hitting exit, has been joined by regular co-hosts like Adil Ray and Ben Shephard, as well as an array of guest presenters including Alastair Campbell, Richard Madeley and her former BBC Breakfast colleague Bill Turnbull.
But we won't see former Strictly contestant Susanna on screen for some time after she revealed on Tuesday that she'd be taking a break for summer.
Alluding to a break, Susanna referenced EastEnders actor Adam Woodyatt's absence from the BBC soap, saying "Adam Woodyatt is taking a break at the moment, isn't he?"
"Yes he is taking a sabbatical," replied her co-host Ben.
Susanna continued: "Yeah, taking a break at the moment..."
Tipping Point star Ben responded: "You can do that... you have been in place long enough, you can take a bit of a sabbatical."
And it was then that Susanna confirmed she'd be missing in action for a while, saying: "I am doing! I am taking a break next week. Today is my last day."
Ben told her he'd "miss her" and his sentiments were reflected by viewers on Twitter. One reacted to news of her break by posting: "GMB is best in morning TV with Susanna at the helm. Its the best. What more can i say."
A second tweeted: "sad its Susanna's last day before Autumn but wish her a fun filled Summer Break, she will be missed," and another commented: "I know the GMB viewers will be so looking forward to your return in September. You will be truly missed though Susanna, truly missed by us all."
