Many Good Morning Britain viewers were left impressed on Monday as a presenting double act of Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway fronted the show.
Since Piers Morgan's headline-hitting walk off and subsequent departure from the show earlier this year, GMB bosses have trialled a number of different lineups, with Susanna appearing alongside the likes of Ben Shephard and Adil Ray and Kate with Ranvir Singh and Charlotte Hawkins.
But it was the combination of the two women together that gathered a largely positive response from viewers who tuned into the first show of a new week to see them discuss everything from the aftermath of Prince Philip's death to the latest easing of lockdown restrictions, which sees pubs, restaurants, gyms and hairdressers open after being shut for months.
Kate also discussed having husband Derek Draper back at home after his year-long stint in hospital after contracting coronavirus and GMB regulars were pleased to see her team up with Susanna.
One tweeted: "Great to see Kate back from 6am with Susanna. The best combination available to you. First time I flicked it on and stayed since Piers left.
"After the various combinations of the last several weeks, this is the best, with Ranvir or Ben."
Equally impressed, another posted: "Its been a great GMB this morning with Susanna and Kate presenting together, truly has," and a third reacted: "Great to see the Beautiful Susanna Reid back on gmb today I have so missed her. Along with Kate Garraway bringing us a brilliant show."
Some viewers who tuned in were slightly angered by the fact that, unlike their counterparts on the BBC, who wore dark clothes in respect to Prince Phillip, they appeared on screen in bright colours, with Susanna in purple and Kate in blue.
Last month it was reported that Ben Shephard had been 'chosen' to be Piers' full time replacement alongside Susanna, with other reports suggesting GMB bosses hadn't made any form decisions as they wanted her to be the 'big star' of the show.
