GMB's slimmed-down Ranvir Singh already lost half a stone with Strictly stress

Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh revealed on Wednesday's show that she has already lost half a stone she she started training for Strictly Come Dancing.

Hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid pointed out Ranvir's changed appearance, and she explained it was because she was too nervous to eat.

Ranvir admitted last month that she had gained a stone while in lockdown and was hoping her Strictly regime would help her shed the pounds.

Susanna exclaimed: "My goodness, you look like you've been in a training room, working hard!"

Ranvir asked: "Are you saying I look a bit slimmer?"

"You do look slimmer!" remarked Piers.

Ranvir said: "To tell you the truth, I weighed myself this morning, and I have lost half a stone!"

"You're glowing!" replied Susanna.

Ranvir told viewers: "Don't follow this rule - I am so scared, I can't eat.

"I am eating loads of fruit and stuff."

"It suppresses your appetite," agreed Susanna.

Ranvir joked: "And the poor fella's got to lug me around! He might have to lift me, I feel sorry for him!"

Piers moaned: "You've got that rather unfortunate extreme energy that everyone off Strictly gets."

Ranvir replied: "It's the adrenaline, I kid you not!"

Susanna agreed: "It's the Strictly madness!"

Piers added: "The old sparkle comes on, and you all basically go a bit nuts and spend your whole time bouncing around.

"In my dressing room you get the feed before you come on air, and Ranvir was practising for her half hour news slot, and I could see she just wanted to dance!"

Ranvir laughed: "I asked our PA if he could count me in with, 'five six seven eight and-' into the show, that would help me understand musical timing!"

Susanna added: "You think you're living on a planet with just sequins and stardust in the air.

"The trouble is, there comes a point at which you have to take the rocket back down to the planet."
