GMB's Richard Madeley has viewers giggling as he makes repeated ITV Who Wants To Be A Millionaire error with Jeremy Clarkson

Richard Madeley had viewers of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire giggling over the weekend as he kept making the same error when it came to host Jeremy Clarkson. The Good Morning Britai n host appeared on a celebrity version of the ITV game show on Sunday night (October 16), attempting to raise as much money as possible for his chosen charity.

And despite doing well with the questions, with viewers watching as he secured more and more cash for charity, Richard kept making a very simple mistake, having accidentally called Jeremy the wrong name during his first round having already made a separate blunder when he entered the studio by sitting in the host's seat.

During the first round of the game, Jeremy had asked Richard: "Which of these abbreviations is used when someone wants something done immediately?" He then read out the four options and left it up to Richard to ponder of which was the correct answer.

And as he went to deliver his choice, he made an epic name blunder and referred to former Top Gear host Jeremey as former Millionaire presenter Chris Tarrant instead. Richard had replied: "I shall answer 'As Soon As Possible', Chris, it's 'A'. Final answer." Not letting it slide, Jeremy bluntly replied: "I'm not Chris," as laughs broke out in the audience.

Richard realised his mistake and laughed it off, before trying to cover it up by asking: "Does that happen [often]," with Jeremy responding: "You look young but you're senile," before adding: "This is gonna be great this show." Richard then commented: "It's going well."

Richard later added that his wife Judy Finnigan had warned him before he appeared on the programme not to call Jeremy by Chris' name. And during his appearance on GMB on Monday morning (October 17), the 62-year-old revealed he did in fact keep calling Jeremy by Chris' name and in response, Jeremy started to call him Piers, as in former GMB host Piers Morgan.

During the game show, Richard said: "The last thing that Judy said to me before I came on was whatever you do, don't call him Chris." Jeremy then got his own back on the guest, replying: "Anyway, Piers."

@Boppity_Boo34 tweeted: "Did Richard say it’s C Chris #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire." @techosarusrex commented: "Did Richard seriously call Jezza Chris. #whowantstobeamillionaire." @a___w89 posted: "Lol at Richard calling Jeremy Chris #whowantstobeamillionaire." @DFTPNK02 laughed: "Not Richard Madeley calling Jeremy 'Chris' #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire."
