GMB's Ranvir Singh reprimands Kate Garraway over 'painful' Strictly secret

Ranvir Singh jokingly reprimanded Kate Garraway for not telling her about a major - and painful - part of the Strictly process.

The 43-year-old joined Kate as the pair hosted Good Morning Britain today, filling in for Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan during the October half term.

But the conversation quickly turned to her Strictly debut on Saturday, in which she showed off her dance moves for the very first time.

In a VT filmed outside with her beloved dog, Ranvir discovered that she had been paired with pro heartthrob Giovanni Pernice.

Afterwards, she took part in a group dance - which she said had been "painful" to train for and left her "broken".

"You never told me how painful it was to actually do the dancing," Ranvir told Kate.

But a grinning Kate retorted: "Oh, I think I did!"

"Everybody takes it seriously - and rightly so!" Kate said about all of the celebrities before reading out Shirley Ballas' immediate impression of everyone.

"Maisie, she's told not to be confident," Kate said. "Our Ranvir, she said she could keep up with giovanni... you've got the right attitude at the moment, you're just loving it."

"The first live show is quite a big thing," Ranvir said, clearly worrying about next Saturday's show. "I was broken after that first day, totally broken!"

Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid did not appear on GMB (ITV)

Viewers tuning into Good Morning Britain to get their dose of Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid were left confused as they were missing from the ITV show today.

Sean Fletcher had opened the news programme at 6am before handing over to Kate and Ranvir to co-present the rest of the show.

But fans were left scratching their heads that Piers and Susanna were replaced, not realising that they had taken time off.

Viewers took to Twitter to comment, with one writing: "Wheres Piers & Suzanna??? #gmb."

While another disappointed fan tweeted: "Where's Piers ?? got up early to watch #GMB @piersmorgan."

A third wrote: "No Piers and only dopey Dan on BBC. TIME TO LEAVE."

"Where is @piersmorgan ? #gmb," another asked.
