GMB’s Ranvir Singh mortified as she accidentally ends up holiday with her boss

Good Morning Britain host Ranvir Singh returned from her holiday to host Wednesday's show with Adil Ray.

But she revealed her trip abroad had not been the break from work she had quite anticipated.

Laughing, she explained to Adil that when she arrived to check in to her hotel, she spotted her boss Neil Thompson, who edits the show, right next to her, and it dawned on them that they had booked the same holiday.

Not only that - but they were actually next door to each other in their hotel suites - but the friendly pair ended up enjoying dinners together.

Ranvir realised with horror that she had booked the room next door to her boss (ITV)

"You've been on holiday with the boss! This is a big surprise here we are all very shocked at Good Morning Britain, it was a big revelation!" Adil teased.

Laughing, Ranvir said: "I have to clear this up immediately, so I went to the lakes, which was lovely, hundreds of miles away.

"As I was driving up this lovely driveway of this very swish hotel, it was very nice, lovely."

Ranvir revealed that when she saw Neil, her boss, and he saw her, they both gasped in shock.

"I said, 'Hello!' And I was thinking, 'Tell me he's just checked out...'" said Ranvir.

"No, he had just checked in an hour before I was checking in, we were both there for the whole week!"

Adil joked that the holiday had boosted Ranvir's GMB career (ITV)

A photo then flashed up of Ranvir and her son Tushaan, with boss Neil and his wife, plus Ranvir's dog, sitting outside enjoying a drink.

"I feel sorry for Neil, who wants to see one of their staff on holiday!?" said Ranvir, who said Neil's wife was a "very interesting woman" as they bonded during their trip.

Adil laughed about how colleagues would usually avoid each other in this situation, but they were in the rooms next door to each other, making that impossible.

"It was cosy, it was really cosy. And my contract negotiations are going really well!" Ranvir joked.

"She wasn't even meant to be here this morning!" laughed Adil.
