Ranvir Singh was forced to apologise to her colleague Sean Fletcher after her dog humped him on the leg.
The Good Morning Britain presenter had brought four month old Schmizzles to work so that he wasn’t left on his own.
But during the morning meeting for the ITV show, the pooch took a shine to Sean, who had begun playing with him to keep him entertained.
The programme had barely begun when Ranvir felt she had to say sorry in front of the viewers.
She said: "I feel I owe you an apology Sean, I know it's only 17 minutes past six.
“I just have to apologise because there was a slightly over amorous incident that occurred this morning, completely not of Sean’s doing.

“I am sorry you were humped by my dog.”
A video of Sean and Schmizzles was shown to viewers of the pair playing in the morning meeting, where they seemed to be getting on like a house on fire.
Ranvir joked that this was when the two of them started bonding.
"This is the sort of flirting moment,” she said.
“I had to bring him in this morning by the way."
Sean then felt he had to offer up an explanation himself, and revealed a reason that Schmizzles may have liked his smell.
He said: “This is the morning meeting, you have brought your dog in and I was basically the dog sitter throughout the whole meeting.
“While you did the meeting with Ben, our producer, I had to look after the dog. Because puppies bite you and it’s all playful.
“He must really like the smell of me, because I have a dog - I have a girl dog and you have a boy dog.
“That's when the humping started."
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
