GMB’s Ranvir Singh brands Meghan and Harry’s Gayle King leak ‘mean-spirited’

Good Morning Britain 's Ranvir Singh said it was "mean-spirited" for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to have leaked information about a conversation between Harry and his father, Prince Charles.

Gayle King, a friend of the Duchess of Sussex, revealed to CBS breakfast show The Morning that talks between Harry and Charles have been "unproductive".

And that while Harry and Meghan are "glad" conversations have begun, they have not got off to the best start, Gayle said.

Royal sources told the Mirror the revelations “would cause alarm” among senior royals, that private conversations were being used against them, while adding: “This type of behaviour could have huge implications for trust between the camps moving forward."

Ranvir said: "Telling a very prominent TV presenter who you know is going to go on tv and talk about it.

"What is the gain for Harry and Meghan in allowing that information out?

"It is seems little bit mean spirited, you’ve had your moment, you’ve had your two hours on television where you said everything you wanted to say, and everything left on the cutting room floor.

"What is the point of it at this point, releasing little titbits, are we expecting to hear every little phone call that happens?"

Dr Hilary said: "I think conciliation is needed and they need a third party who can be a go between for them."

Susanna said: "The fact of the matter is it’s going to make it harder now because any conversation with any member of the Royal Family they are going to worry its going to be made public."

Ranvir continued: "You get the sense that maybe they thought they have said all this, there is going to be a phone call they are going to go, 'We are so sorry! We are terrible people!"

"Maybe they did apologise, but it seems they didn't get what they wanted, an immediate release of guilt and shame and, 'We are so sorry', an outpouring.

"It feels like they didn't get that really, and that's what they were looking for.

Susanna agreed: "They wanted that conversation to be completely different, and now they are saying its not good enough."
