GMB's Kate Garraway 'signs up' for I’m A Celebrity 2019 line-up ahead of launch

It has been reported that telly anchor Kate Garraway has signed up for I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! 2019, joining the line-up ahead of the launch.

According to new claims, Kate has officially committed to the series, which is expected to begin next month with hosts Ant and Dec.

The Sun revealed that the ITV morning regular will fly out to the Australian outback in the coming weeks.

Kate's upcoming jungle arrival comes after the presenter teased viewers with the idea of her jungle appearance last year.

The 52-year-old was reportedly lined up for a £150,000 spot in the jungle for the 2018 series but was forced to cancel at the last minute due to her hectic scedhule.

Kate hinted at her possible venture in Australia during an episode of Good Morning Britain last September.

Host Lorraine quipped that those in the studio were very close to a certain rumoured person.

"Are we boiling hot?" Susanna Reid asked, grinning and looking at Kate.

Lorraine exclaimed: "Steaming hot!"

Kate sighed and didn't deny the rumours, quipping: "I love how all of my colleagues want to see me buried and covered in cockroaches."

Casting celebrity executive Micky Van Praagh and her team recently revealed how they go about choosing celebs.

"It's very early days, but we've already started casting," she said at a BAFTA Masterclass for I'm A Celebrity this summer.

"I think we know what works. I think of our show as a comedy and so I'm looking for people who are funny and high energy as we know those types of things always work."

She added: "But otherwise you want to do something completely different every year.

"You're never looking for the next Harry Redknapp or the next John Barrowman or the next Fleur East. You've got to do something different."
