GMB's Kate Garraway shaken up by Dancing on Ice star Bez's horror fall in training

Kate Garraway was left horrified by footage of Dancing on Ice star Bez taking one hell of a fall in training ahead of the show's big return this weekend.

Happy Mondays icon Bez is one of a host of famous faces on the line-up for the new series of the hit ITV show, joining the likes of Rachel Stevens, Regan Gascoigne, Brendan Cole and Kimberley Wyatt.

And Pussycat Dolls diva Kimberley joined Kate and her co-presenter Ben Shephard on Friday's Good Morning Britain to talk about how her preparations had been going.

Kimberley was joined by her Dancing on Ice professional partner Mark Hanretty as clips of them in rehearsals played out on screen but, Kate then switched topics to seek assurances on how Bez is, after the ex Celebrity Big Brother winner made headlines with his dramatic tumble on the training rink.

After Kate remarked; "We saw Bez!" Ben told Kimberley: "If I was you I'd have knee pads, shin pads, elbow pads," before Kate joked: "I'd have an inflatable sumo suit if I'm honest!"

Kimberley replied: "I went to training wearing knee pads one day as I hit them so hard. You do just have to brave it a bit. But yeah, that footage of Bez hitting his head, it should me a little bit!"

As Kimberley was talking, Bez was seen crashing down, with his safety helmet coming off as hit the rink and banged his head off the ice.

Seeking assurances Bez was alright, Kate asked Kimberley: "Do you know how he's doing?! Because he took a heck of a clunk!"

Kimberley told her: "No he really did, but Bez is such a beautiful soul and he's really ready to throw himself into this literally! I do worry about him a bit but I'm so excited to see him on Sunday."

Dancing on Ice is infamous for having its fair share of casualties. Last year, professional skater Yebin Monk didn't even make the live shows after "nasty" injury in training when she was stabbed in the leg by a blade from an ice skate and required immediate medical assistance.
