Good Morning Britain 's Dr Hilary Jones has explained that testing the entire nation for coronavirus would cost a whopping £1billion a month.
Speaking to hosts Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins, Dr Hilary was discussing the need for comprehensive testing, and he called for key workers to take priority.
The trio were talking about six new "walk through sites" in England introduced by Health Secretary Matt Hancock which could test people for the virus, but ten million tests would reportedly be needed every single day.
Charlotte asked: "What do you think about this mass testing?"

"Because there are arguments there that it would tell us more about where the virus was, it would include asymptomatic people, but on the other hand, is it even feasible?
"It's a massive cost, they think it could be £1billion a month."
Dr Hilary replied: "One of the problems is that tests on asymptomatic people are often negative, we get a lot of false negatives.
"But mass testing on a weekly basis, of course, in an ideal world, absolutely marvellous if everyone was tested every week, game over really.
"However, look at the cost, it's estimated they would need ten million tests every day at a cost of £1billion every month.
"So I think the policy of testing those key workers, who are most at risk, and then tracing people who have been in contact with them, isolating them and putting them in quarantine, that's probably the most cost-effective way forward."
He also gave a warning on the show after images of Liverpool fans celebrating their win circulated, with crowds of supporters abandoning social distancing regulations.
He pointed out how colourful smoke from a flare could be seen billowing out and over the fans in the video footage - this is how easily the virus spreads too, leaving those football supporters in grave danger of spreading and catching COVID-19.
