GMB's Charlotte Hawkins throws strop after co-hosts 'spoil' Line of Duty for her

Annoyed Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins threw a bit of a strop on Monday's show after her co-stars ruined Sunday's Line of Duty for her.

Unlike millions of us, news anchor Charlotte didn't tune into episode 5 of the sixth series of the smash hit drama last night, quite possibly because she was early to bed for an early start on GMB, meaning she missed the closing scene that matched the Jo Davidson blood relative mystery for a dramatic cliffhanger.

If, like Charlotte, you also haven't had time to watch it yet *SPOILER ALERT* it ended with Kate Fleming and slippery returning character Ryan Pilkington pointing a gun at each other as under suspicion DCI Davidson looked on.

And, just before the credits kicked in, gun shots sounded out, leaving fans of the show on the edges of their seats and doing a Ted Hastings by exclaiming 'mother of God' as another gripping episode came to a conclusion.

Charlotte and her GMB co-hosts Adil Ray and Susanna Reid were joined in the studio on Monday by Hastings himself, actor Adrian Dunbar, and before he appeared, footage of Sunday's shock shoot out played out on screen.

Susanna warned viewers: "look away if you haven't seen it," which prompted an annoyed Charlotte to put her hands over her ears as Adil shouted: "could this by the end of Kate Fleming?"

After the footage was shown, Susanna then asked Charlotte: "did you manage to stay hands over eyes?" to which Charlotte, whose fists were clenched to her face, replied: "no I couldn't, so now I know what happens...thanks everyone!"

An unapologetic Adil responded: "You've sill got to watch it to see what happens; we didn't give too much away there!"

Charlotte wasn't the only one left fuming with GMB for showing the crucial Line of Duty scene. While many fans of the show delighted in Adrian Dunbar being on, another tweeted: "I wish that everyone would stop talking about #lineofduty as people haven’t seen the damn thing yet. Just everyone shut up please!"

And another reacted: "Trying to avoid Line of Duty spoilers on Twitter on a Monday morning is like a minefield.."
