GMB's Ben Shephard 'annoyed' to miss chance to win Playstation 5

Ben Shephard confessed he's "annoyed" at being unable to enter the latest ITV competition - because one of the prizes is a PlayStation 5.

As an ITV staff member, the Good Morning Britain presenter is not allowed to enter the competition.

Andi Peters detailed the studio's latest competition, with prizes up for grabs including cash, a Gucci bag and the coveted PlayStation 5.

The much anticipated PS5 is one of the most desirable items of tech this year and has been snapped up from shops.

Last month, the new console went on sale across the UK but with many retailers shut because of the second lockdown, PS5 fans were left disappointed when they couldn't get one.

Shoppers were forced to search online to buy the console on release day after the pre-orders sold out in minutes earlier this year.

Now, Sony's newest gaming console has been bought by thousands but it seems there still isn't enough stock to meet demand, making ITV's competition desirable to even its presenters.

After Andi finished revealing the items included as part of the win, presenter Charlotte Hawkins turned to her co-host Ben and reminded him he was not allowed to take part.

Ben said: "I know, I'm so annoyed."

He added: "I might run round to the garage to get it before anyone realises."

*Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6am
