Ranting fans of Good Morning Britain host Ben Shephard were left feeling let down and confused on Thursday as the popular presenter was nowhere to be seen, with some even changing channels.
His royal slip up aside, when he mistakenly referred to Kate and William as 'the Duke and Duchess of Sussex,' many viewers delighted in his return to the ITV daytime programme last week.
Ben, mooted as the 'eventual' full time replacement for Piers Morgan in the wake of the his outspoken former colleague's GMB departure, had been absent from the show for a lengthy stretch due to filming commitments on Tipping Point but, his comeback which saw him at the helm alongside co-star and pal Kate Garraway had some viewers hailing them as 'the perfect combination.'
While Ben's April replacement, Adil Ray had been presenting with Susanna Reid from Monday to Wednesday, after his return last week, many fans expected Ben to be back as full time Thursday host, so it came as a surprise to many when he wasn't in the studio today.
Instead, Adil and Susanna anchored GMB for the fourth consecutive day this week, with Kate, while present, relegated to the other side of the desk.
As they often do, many annoyed viewers took to Twitter, with the majority of them including Good Morning Britain's Twitter handle in their posts as they sought answers as to why Ben wasn't on.
One tweeted: " @GMB what is going on it’s Thursday and @adilray is still on . Where is @benshephard today . Off to watch BBC1 again today."
Equally upset, another posted: " @GMB oh no where is @benshephard it’s Thursday and still @adilray."
Being slightly less diplomatic, a third ranted: "F**k sake WHERE’S BEN," and taking a similar approach, another Ben fan reacted: "Ffs I thought Ben was on today"
Fans of Ben are set for more disappointment next week as he definitely won't be on GMB Monday-Wednesday as much hyped guest host Alastair Campbell joins Susanna Reid for a three day stint at the helm of the show.
